Amazon Web Services announced a groundbreaking $12 billion investment to build their first data center campus in northwest Louisiana, marking the largest private investment in the region's history. This massive project represents more than just economic growth—it's a transformational moment that brings Caddo Parish, Bossier Parish, and the City of Shreveport together in unprecedented collaboration.

The investment builds on Amazon's already strong presence in our area, including the advanced robotics fulfillment center that opened in 2024, employing over 2,000 people, and a new delivery station that launched in 2025. Regional leaders are calling this a defining moment for northwest Louisiana's tech sector development.

Alongside the data center construction, Amazon is launching the Northwest Louisiana Community Fund with a $250,000 commitment. Managed by nonprofit ChangeX, this program will provide grants up to $10,000 for community projects across Caddo and Bossier Parishes, focusing on STEM education, sustainability, health and wellbeing, military veterans support, and local community needs.
