50 Cent Makes Major Donation to Local Nonprofits

In a surprise move Monday morning, rapper Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson presented over $400,000 to nine Shreveport-area nonprofits at Government Plaza. The donation was announced around 10:15 a.m., bringing significant support to local organizations serving our community.

Also making headlines: the City Council voted Tuesday to withdraw from a partnership with the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office for a domestic violence resource center at the new North Market police substation.
